A passion for classical piano.
Joy Pullagurla is an Australian classical pianist based in Singapore. She began learning piano at the age of four with Dan Alonso in Sydney, later studying with Nathan Inkiriwang before moving to Singapore. Since 2025, she has studied with Professor Albert Tiu, Head of Piano Studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and Susan Lai Siu Ling.
Joy’s musical education extends beyond regular lessons. Festivals and academies have taken her to the United Kingdom, Thailand, Germany and Austria, where she has performed and learned from internationally respected pianists and pedagogues. Her repertoire ranges from Bach and Mozart to Chopin, Liszt and Prokofiev, while her competition recognition spans Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. Joy also enjoys discovering new places through music. On Instagram, she shares moments from rehearsals, performances and her travels, offering a personal view of the experiences shaping her life at the piano.
Current study in Singapore, grounded in formative training in Sydney and international festival participation.
